Cyclamen.

Whilst searching for viola and cider, the eyes of a friend & I were caught by the distinctly otherworldly cyclamen.

Cyclamen,
"Sow Bread".
(Tuberous perennial.)

Planting: Autumn, winter (avoid frost), or the 

                   early spring.
                   4cm deep.

Flowering: Often autumn or winter.
Aspect: Partial shade, well-drained.
Hardiness: Fully to frost hardy.



Notes: Used in traditional herbal medicines for wounds & boils, but poisonous for dogs & cats.
