Prunus padus, "Bird Cherry".
(Deciduous tree or large shrub.)
Planting: Early summer.
Flowering: Spring, fruit in autumn.
Aspect: Full sun.
Hardiness: Hardy.
Notes: This species comes from the frozen lands just south of the Arctic Circle, such as Russia, Finland, Sweden and Norway. (Little wonder I have not seen it in mild old England!)
